442-LabSEAS laboratory (IMDEA Energy)

The Economic, Environmental and Social Simulation and Analysis Laboratory (labSEAS) focuses on the simulation and analysis of energy systems. The aim is to carry out a global assessment of the different energy alternatives, including not only scientific-technical aspects, but also economic, environmental and social aspects. These factors are key since new energy developments are promoted, to a large extent, through changes in the legislative and tax policy applied to energy products in order to achieve their sustainability. Specific tools available include:

• Process simulation and energy analysis software.
• Economic analysis tools.
• Life cycle analysis software for environmental and social analysis and calculation of externalities.
• Energy modelling software for prospective analysis.

LabSEAS can offer services of techno-economic feasibility studies and sustainability and energy modelling.
